Oxiworks-floating Fine Bubble Diffuser
Floating Fine-Bubble Aeration Works
Air from the blowers is delivered through the main air header to each floating lateral.
From there, the air travels down flexible drop hoses into the Oxiworks® diffuser assembly, where it is released through high-efficiency fine-bubble tubular silicon membranes.
These membranes produce uniform 1 mm fine bubbles, ensuring excellent oxygen transfer and effective mixing throughout the lagoon.

Moving Aeration Header/Chain Make a Difference
The Oxiworks® system is engineered so that each floating lateral header—with its suspended diffuser assemblies—can move freely across the water surface.
This controlled movement provides several major performance advantages:
- Maximized oxygen transfer: the floating diffusers naturally migrate toward areas with lower dissolved oxygen, improving oxygen distribution and increasing overall system efficiency.
- Superior mixing coverage: Because the laterals oscillate over a wide area, they mix significantly more water volume than fixed aeration systems
- This movement allows Oxiworks® to reduce required mixing air by up to 30% compared to rigid, floor-mounted diffusers.

Why Choose Oxiworks for Activated Sludge or Lagoon Aeration
Exceptional Aeration Efficiency
- Superior standard oxygen transfer efficiency (SOTE) performance due to fine-bubble production and the moving-header principle.
- Reduced energy use with consistently high-quality effluent.
Low Maintenance and Long Service Life
- Made from durable, corrosion-resistant materials for long-term operation.
- Minimal service requirements and reduced replacement costs.
Environmentally Friendly Materials
- Components are made from recyclable polypropylene and other environmentally responsible materials.
Easy, Non-Disruptive Maintenance
- The floating aeration system is not anchored to the basin floor, allowing maintenance during normal operation.
- Units can be pulled to the surface without draining the lagoon.
- With Oxirise®, diffuser assemblies can be raised effortlessly for inspection and cleaning.
Automatic Backflow Protection
- The system automatically seals if aeration is interrupted, preventing any backflow of sludge or liquid into the diffusers.
Expandable, Modular Design
- Additional diffusers can be easily added to the floating header if more aeration capacity is required.
